Plaque by popular demand!

Basil unleashes his inner surf dude

Sorry it’s been a while, it can be a hard toothbrush life on the road.

It was fun doing a trek through Chapada Diamantina, though we’re still recovering from being doused in the industrial-strength Deet that leaked all over us in one of the humans’ backpacks. Yuk.

To add insult to injury, later on in Praia da Pipa they go and temporarily lose us in some rocks on the beach (we’re in the pic below somewhere…)

Can you see us?

Still, it’s not all bad. Just found out that one of Brazil’s national heroes was an 18th-century dentist called Tiradentes (Teeth-puller). Knew there was a reason we feel at home here.

Keep on brushing!

Tartar for now,

About travellingtoothbrushes

We are a couple of journalists with restless toothbrushes. Our teeth scrubbers seem unable to leap out of their respective washbags to take up a permanent residency on the bathroom shelf. So, we've decided to let them live the way they want to and take them on a trip around South America...
